Rack Armour® Large Upright Racking Protectors - Hi Vis Yellow
Heavy-Duty Protection for Larger Pallet Racking Uprights
When the racking is bigger, the impacts are bigger too. Larger pallet racking systems typically carry heavier loads, sit in higher-bay warehouses, and share their aisles with full-size counterbalance forklifts and reach trucks moving at speed. The Rack Armour® Large Upright Racking Protector is sized for those environments, fitting front-facing uprights up to 110mm wide (Euro C) — the standard for many heavier-duty UK pallet racking systems.
At 600mm tall and finished in high-visibility yellow, this protector clips onto the upright by hand without bolts, drills, or floor anchors. The patented HDPE outer shell flexes on impact while the foam core soaks up the energy, achieving an independently verified 80% reduction in racking damage — the same proven performance as the rest of the Rack Armour® range, sized for the racking that takes the hardest hits.

Why It Works Where Steel Column Guards Don't
The bigger the racking, the more important it is that the protector fails before the rack does. Steel column guards don't fail — they transfer force directly into the racking leg or rip out of the floor, often making the damage worse. Rack Armour® is engineered to behave the opposite way:
- Deflects and absorbs impact energy rather than transferring it into the upright
- Clips on by hand — no anchors, no drilling, no floor damage
- No corrosion, no deformation — unlike painted or galvanised steel guards
- Lifts off in seconds for the regular rack inspections required by FEM and HSE guidance
- Independently tested to FEM 10.2.16
Tough Enough for the Hardest Working Warehouses
The Euro C size frequently sits in busy distribution centres, third-party logistics sites, heavy manufacturing, and cold storage facilities — environments that punish equipment. Rack Armour® is rated to -40°C, resistant to moisture, corrosion, and most industrial solvents, and built to absorb repeat impacts across a 15+ year service life. One fitment typically protects the upright through multiple strikes before any replacement is needed, which keeps your cost per year of protection down to pence per upright.

Where the Large (Euro C) Size Fits
Euro C 110mm uprights are typical of higher-capacity pallet racking — taller bays, heavier pallets, and greater loads per beam. You'll find them across large distribution and fulfilment centres, 3PL operations, cold and chilled storage facilities, automotive and engineering stores, and heavy manufacturing. They're also common in mixed-MHE warehouses where reach trucks, counterbalance trucks, and pedestrian pallet trucks all share aisles — the kind of environment where impacts are frequent and unpredictable.
If you're not sure whether your uprights are Euro B or Euro C, measure the front-facing width of the leg in millimetres: anything over 100mm and up to 110mm sits in the Euro C bracket.
Protect the Racking That Carries the Most Risk
A damaged Euro C upright doesn't just mean a repair invoice — it can mean evacuating a full bay, isolating stock, and bringing in specialist contractors. Rack Armour® Large Upright Protectors fit in seconds and start working from the next forklift strike onwards. Add to your order today and take advantage of our price match promise on every authentic Rack Armour® product.
What size pallet racking does the large Rack Armour® protector fit? The large (Euro C) size fits front-facing uprights from above 100mm and up to 110mm wide. This covers many heavier-duty UK pallet racking profiles used in higher-bay and high-load applications.
How do I know if I need the medium (Euro B) or large (Euro C) size? Measure the front-facing width of your racking upright in millimetres. Up to 100mm = medium (Euro B). Above 100mm and up to 110mm = large (Euro C). If your uprights are wider than 110mm, the Rack Armour® range also includes Euro D and Euro E sizes.
Does it really clip on without floor fixings? Yes. Each Rack Armour® protector slides onto the upright and clips into place by hand. There are no bolts, anchors, drilling, or contractor visits required, which is why it's the default choice for site-wide rollouts.
How much damage does Rack Armour® prevent? Independent testing shows an 80% reduction in racking damage when Rack Armour® is fitted. The HDPE shell deflects the impact while the foam core absorbs the energy before it reaches the racking leg.
Will it work in cold storage? Yes. Rack Armour® is rated to -40°C, suiting it to ambient, chilled, and frozen storage environments without loss of performance.
How long does Rack Armour® last? Each protector has a 15+ year design life and can absorb multiple impacts before needing replacement, depending on the force of each strike.
Is Rack Armour® FEM tested? Yes. Rack Armour® has been independently tested to FEM 10.2.16, the European standard for racking impact protection, supporting compliance with current warehouse safety best practice.
Can I have my company branding on the protectors? Yes. Rack Armour® comes with plain branded labels by default. Add a note at checkout if you'd like your company details printed on the label.
Do you really price match? Yes — our price promise covers every authentic Rack Armour® product. Send a lower online price or written quote and we'll match it.
