Elora Long Whitworth Combination Spanner Set (11 Piece)
Specialist Whitworth Spanners for Classic, Vintage, and Heritage Engineering
The Elora Long Whitworth Combination Spanner Set (Product Code: 205S 11W) is a specialist 11-piece collection designed for one of engineering's most historic fastener systems. Whether you're restoring a classic British motorcycle, maintaining a vintage car, working on traditional machinery, or servicing heritage equipment, this set provides the correctly sized, professional-grade tools you need. Forged from chrome vanadium steel and manufactured to exacting German standards, it's an essential investment for anyone working with Whitworth fasteners.
Why Choose the Elora 205S 11W Whitworth Spanner Set?
True Whitworth Sizing for Authentic Restoration
Whitworth (WW) is a British thread standard developed by Sir Joseph Whitworth in 1841 and used extensively throughout British engineering for well over a century. Whitworth spanner sizes refer to the bolt diameter, not the across-flats measurement, which means they're not interchangeable with metric or AF spanners. This set provides the genuine, accurate Whitworth sizing required to work on original fasteners without damage.
Premium Chrome Vanadium Steel Construction
Each spanner is forged from high-grade chrome vanadium steel, then hardened and tempered for exceptional strength and resistance to wear. The chrome-plated finish provides long-lasting protection against corrosion, ensuring your tools maintain their performance and appearance over years of use.
Long-Pattern Design for Greater Leverage
The long-pattern construction provides extended reach and increased leverage, making it easier to access fasteners in tight or awkward locations and helping to free aged or seized Whitworth fasteners that often require extra persuasion.
Polished Bi-Hexagon Ring End
The polished 12-point bi-hexagon ring end grips fasteners securely from multiple angles, helping to protect the original heads of valuable vintage fasteners. The 12-point design also allows the spanner to be repositioned in 30° increments, particularly useful when working in the confined spaces typical of classic vehicle engine bays.
15° Offset Jaw
The open jaw is offset at 15°, providing valuable knuckle clearance and improved access when working close to surfaces or within restricted areas.
Manufactured to DIN 3113 Form B / ISO 3318
Produced to internationally recognised DIN 3113 Form B and ISO 3318 specifications, this set delivers consistent dimensional accuracy, strength, and safety, the hallmarks of genuine Elora quality.
Convenient Carton Packaging
Supplied in tidy carton packaging, the set is easy to store on the workshop shelf or transport between jobs.

A Note on Whitworth vs BSF Sizing
Whitworth (WW) and British Standard Fine (BSF) share the same thread form, but BSF spanners are typically one size smaller in marking than Whitworth (e.g. a 1/4" BSF spanner has the same across-flats dimension as a 5/16" Whitworth). Many classic vehicles use a mix of both standards, so it's worth being aware of when sourcing the right tool for the job.
