The 750W motor provides two cutting speeds — 700m/min (12m/sec) for faster material removal and 360m/min (6m/sec) for more controlled cutting in harder materials and plastics. Matching blade speed to material is one of the most effective ways to extend blade life and improve cut quality, and the two-speed setup gives the BS305/750SF a practical versatility that single-speed machines at this price point simply can't match.

With a 305mm throat capacity and 175mm cutting depth (maximum capacity 220mm), the BS305/750SF handles a solid range of timber sections, curved cuts, and resawing tasks comfortably. The welded steel body provides the rigidity and stability that accurate bandsaw work demands — a construction approach that gives this Storm Force model a reassuringly solid feel and helps dampen vibration during cutting.

Adjustable blade tensioning and tracking keeps the blade running true for clean, accurate results, and the mitre guide — graduated to 30° in both left and right directions — handles crosscut and angled work reliably. The worktable tilts from 0° to 45°, opening up angled ripping, bevel, and mitre cuts, and the parallel rip fence provides straight, repeatable cuts along the grain.

A no-volt release switch prevents the blade from restarting unexpectedly after a power interruption, and a 100mm dust extraction outlet connects to a workshop extractor or dust bag to keep the cutting area clean. The BS305/750SF is genuinely flexible in terms of installation — it can be bench mounted, used floor standing, or fitted to a dedicated stand available separately (Draper stock no. 94971).
