The two sliding U-shaped saddles on the platform top are the key to the MCPL2's versatility. Adjustable across the platform width, they locate cleanly onto the motorcycle's subframe down tubes and can be set to the exact tube spacing of the specific bike being worked on — from compact trail bike frames through to larger adventure and naked bike subframes. All contact surfaces are rubber coated, protecting paintwork, powder coating and bare metal from the scratching and marking that unprotected steel saddles inevitably cause.

The scissor mechanism runs on smooth ball bearing rollers throughout its travel, making height adjustment light and precise rather than stiff or jerky.
