When the BS305 isn't enough, the Draper BS340/1100D is. A step up in every meaningful dimension, this 340mm two-speed bandsaw is built to the same exacting trade specification as its smaller sibling but delivers more power, more throat capacity, a deeper cut, and a substantially larger worktable — making it the natural choice for trade professionals and serious workshop users who regularly work with large or thick stock.

The 1100W motor — 350W more than the BS305 — maintains cutting performance under load where a less powerful machine would labour, and delivers the same two proven cutting speeds: 370m/min for wood and wood-derived materials, and 800m/min for plastics and faster stock removal. Two-speed capability means the blade speed is always matched to the material, extending blade life and maintaining cut quality across the full range of tasks this machine will encounter in a busy workshop.

The 340mm throat capacity and 225mm cutting depth (maximum capacity 205mm) open up resawing and deep-cutting possibilities that are simply beyond a 305mm machine — thick hardwood slabs, large bowl blanks, deep timber sections, and substantial resawing all fall within comfortable reach. The worktable, at a generous 545 x 515mm, provides ample support for large workpieces and sheet material, and tilts from 0° to 45° for angled ripping, bevel cuts, and compound work via a tilt mechanism built to the same high structural standard that defines the BS340/1100D's trade-grade construction.

Adjustable blade tensioning and tracking keeps the blade running true for precise, accurate cuts throughout, and the high specification mitre guide — graduated to 30° left and right — handles demanding crosscut work with the consistency that production and trade use demands. The parallel rip fence provides straight, repeatable ripping cuts across the full width of the table.

An LED worklight keeps the cutting line clearly visible in any workshop lighting condition. The tool drawer built into the base unit provides organised, convenient storage for blades, tools, and accessories right where you need them. Dust extraction connects to a workshop extractor via the supplied outlet, and the no-volt release switch ensures the blade cannot restart unexpectedly after a power interruption.

The BS340/1100D stands floor-mounted at 1297mm tall and can also be bench-mounted. A dedicated stand is available separately (Draper stock no. 99270) for those requiring a permanent, optimum-height installation.
