A medium concrete breaker is a powered demolition tool that sits between an SDS rotary hammer drill and a heavy-duty road breaker. How to use a medium concrete breaker safely

1. Check the power supply — is it 110V site supply? If not, you'll need a step-down transformer
2. Inspect the tool, lead and chisel before starting work
3. Wear full PPE — safety glasses, ear defenders, dust mask, gloves and steel-toe boots
4. Mark out your line clearly before breaking
5. Position the chisel at a slight angle to the surface, not straight in
6. Let the tool do the work — don't lean your weight onto it; the impact comes from the hammer action
7. Work in short bursts to manage hand-arm vibration exposure
8. Damp down dust with a water mist for indoor work — concrete dust contains silica, a serious respiratory hazard
9. Take regular breaks to manage fatigue and vibration exposure
10. Switch off and unplug before changing chisels or making adjustments
