The Business of the Year Award was presented to Malcolm Hall, MD of Hall-Fast Industrial Supplies Ltd, by West Nott's College Principle Asha Khemka, and Mansfield 2020 Chairman Irvin Robinson
Hall-Fast have won The Mansfield 2020 Business of the Year Award 2011.
The award was open to all business trading in Nottinghamshire, Hall-Fast received this award at a ceremony held in front of over 200 distinguished business people at a black tie dinner on Saturday 9th April 2011 at the Civic Centre, Mansfield.

The winner of this award needed to be able to demonstrate:
- All-round achievement and sales turnover and profit development
- The main objectives for the business over the next three years, how these will be achieved and the effects that these will have on the overall business
- A clear vision for the future of the specific business objectives for the next twelve months
- Why the business stands out from the competition, and how your business performance compares to the competition
- How a specific strategy has driven growth and how this will be sustained for the future
